Clean up old junks

One of the main reasons for slowing down a computer is lack of regular cleaning up of unused files, old cashes, temporary files, obsolete registry entries. Lot of programs is available in the market for cleaning our system. CCleaner (ver.1.33.382) is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool for windows. It removes unused files from our system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also suitable for windows new operating system Vista (I personally use this freeware (ver.1.33.382) with windows new operating system vista (RC1). CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) need to configure to get best result.

CCleaner cleanse the following items from windows:

Temporary files, url histories, cookies, from internet explorer, cleans the windows registry entries like unused and old entries, including File Extensions, ActiveX Controls, ClassIDs, ProgIDs, Uninstallers, Shared DLLs, Fonts, Help Files, Application Paths, Icons, Invalid Shortcuts and also comes with a comprehensive backup feature. It

Removes temp files and recent file list from many programs.

For a deep cleaning of system, we want to configure ccleaner. Using the Cleaner window you'll notice several checked boxes that indicate which areas of your computer will be cleaned. Most of the boxes are checked by default, so pay close attention if you only want to scrub certain areas. Tabs at the top offer the ability to clean windows areas and other applications. Switching between the two tabs allows you to make your choices for a customized cleaning.

When you're done with your settings, click the Analyze button on the lower left to see which items will be cleaned. You'll see every file CCleaner will delete and also exactly how much memory will be returned to your system after the cleaning. (Important-it shows all file lists before cleaning. Make sure which one is useful and not before cleaning).

Clicking on the issue button shown on the left bring up another set of checked boxes. This set of tasks cleans unused file extensions and obsolete registry entries from windows registry. Uncheck the boxes you don’t want to scan. But the default setting do things better. Before fixing the issues, be sure to take back up of registry, if anything gone wrong.

. From the tool button we can get two options one is add remove programs and other one is deleting startup entries. Windows come with it’s on add remove utility, unfortunately it is slow to load and not easiest control panel item to configure. CCleaner quickly lists all active programs and let you uninstall software you no longer need. To manage startup programs that we need not start with windows can delete easily with startup option.
