Motorola introduced a new Mobile RIZR Z8 in 3GSM World Congress. Like the recently announced RIZR Z6, the Z8 does away with Motorola's conventional operating system. But instead of the Java/Linux OS that the Z6 got, the RIZR Z8 is actually powered by Symbian. A new UI sits on top of the Symbian software, so it doesn't look like a Nokia S60.
More interesting than the OS is that the Z8 is Motorola's first "kick slider". That means instead of sliding straight up, the Z8 actually curves to better contour to a face.
