Sony Ericsson W800i - Review

The most popular walkman series offered by Sony Ericsson is W800i with greater functionality and increased memory storage in the form of a 512Mb memory stick Duo Pro.

It has a sizable amount of built-in memory too -38 Mb. The zippy interface has controls that compliment the phone’s core function of being a competent media player. The phone’s ‘walkman’ button takes the user directly to the play list.

The phone also boasted a built-in hand free with a powerful loudspeaker. True to a multimedia player, it supports popular audio formats like MP3, WAV and AAC.

Except for not having EDGE support, this phone packed in some really good features in its sleek candy bar frame. In the imaging area it is able to take praiseworthy pictures with its 2-megapixel camera. The camera can auto focus on objects and produce good quality photograph in different light settings and white balance option.

The W800i even records video in MPEG 4 as well as AVI format on the fly. Add to that a very reasonable battery life, around 18 hrs in media player mode.
