Very useful universal dictionary

Here is a very interesting dictionary that interconnects more than 50 world languages. Dictionary includes the following category

English dictionary- allows us to look English words in English dictionary at once.

English thesaurus – Allows us to look up English words in several database of synonyms

Picture Dictionary – I think very useful for children. It contains more than 2500 illustrations with translations in more than 50 languages.

Bilingual dictionary – List of all available bilingual dictionaries grouped by language.

Specialty Resources – Collection of resources related to terminologies for fields like biology, finance, metallurgy, etc.

Mobile Phone – Java dictionaries for Mobile phones and PDAs

Fast online dictionary

Ninja is a fast online dictionary. You can compare definitions by looking up many words on the same page. Type them one by one and hit enter, or type them all at once in the search box, separated by commas. You can create a list of word definitions all on one page.

The definitions come from the fast-growing Wiktionary and from WordNet dictionary.

Acronym dictionary

Instant Message (IM) and emails are popular among friends to convey messages. To write message quickly and fast we use acronym, for example U for you. The AIM acronym dictionary

A good dictionary – You may really love it

Any time you come across a word whose meaning, spelling, or its alternative you want to look up, just select the word and click on the W icon shown on the System Tray (Ctrl+Alt+W-you can alter later), you will get its meaning, synonyms, pronunciation, verb, noun, nearest words.etc.

Word Web is a free English thesaurus and dictionary for Windows, and can be used to look up words from within almost any program in just one click. It works off-line, but can also look up words in web references.

The database has more than 150,000 root words and 118,000 synonym sets, many proper nouns, pronunciations, and usage tags.
