Find out the codec installed on your computer

May be we are all encountered a problem when playing a movie file or audio file that doesn’t get recognized by our media player, instead giving you an unknown file format or codec not found error. The first step to troubleshooting the problem is identifying the codec required for the file.

Gspot is open source software which tells you what codec is using the media file. Gspot is very simple, below 1Mb in size, and no need to install. Just unzip and open. Browse the file for analyzing with browse tab that will tell you all.
