The upcoming Firefox 3 will support offline web application that enables users to access service or website even from offline without any internet connection. As per the news from Macworld.com, ‘when Firefox 3.0 is released later this year, the open-source browser is likely to contain a host of new features, including offline support for Web applications and new bookmark and search features’. Recently Google unveiled like service (in developing stage) ‘Gears’- an open source browser extension for enabling offline web application which will be able to create web applications that don't need a constant Internet connection to work. Firefox 3.0 is likely to be released in the second half of 2007, bringing a lot of new features bundled in the browser. Read more at Macworld.com
