John’s Background Switcher is a free application for Windows that lets you change your desktop wallpaper automatically at regular intervals. You can choose photos from your computer or from online services like Picasa, Flickr or Yahoo image search for this purpose.The new version of John’s Background Switcher can embed a calendar on your desktop over the switchable wallpaper, apply effects to the photos, or limit photos you use to landscape mode so you’ve always got wide photos.
John’s Background Switcher (JBS) sits in your system tray and changes the desktop wallpaper at the time interval you specified. This icon also lets you open the settings, pause switching, view all downloaded photos, check for updates and exit JBS.
JBS is completely free and supports Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista (both 32 and 64-bit version).
