Turn off your laptop LCD when not in use

Turn off your LCD is a free utility for Windows XP and Vista, which is useful if your laptop or notebook hasn’t provided the option turning off its LCD screen when not in use. This is useful, for example, when you just want to listen to some music on your notebook or laptop and want the LCD of your notebook to remain off while the lid is still open. With this small software you can turn off your LCD screen whenever you want with a single click.
The application is very small (85Kb) and is written in C# using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. It’s basically a simple console based application that makes use of a dll (User32.dll) file from Windows using System.Runtime.InteropServices namespace and then calls the required function.
The software is compatible with Windows XP and Vista, XP users required .net framework 2 installed on the laptop. (source)
