Testing a new Web site in many browsers and Operating system can be quite time-consuming and not everybody has a farm of legacy machines with older OSes and browsers.
Browsershots is a free, open-source online service that makes screen shots of your web design in different browsers and Operating systems. When you submit your web address, it will be added to the queue for process. Later you can access the page (after 10 minutes or so) with many screen shots. You can bookmark the page for later access.
