How can you extend the trial period of software?

There are many good programs available for download as a trial version but they expired with in a specified time period and we want to purchase it for continued use. Most of them are based on system time, local time, or system time as file time. So re installations of software dose not allow resetting the time. There are different ways to alter Trial-time programs like change of date in the bios and / or the operating system, creating backups using like Ghost, using key generator or crack and the like. All are uncomfortable, not very practical and illegal?RunAsDate is a very small application from Nirsoft that intercepts all calls [API] to the heart of the operating system [Kernel] related information on time [GetSystemTime, GetLocalTime, GetSystemTimeAsFileTime] and replaces the current date/time with the date/time that we specify. This utility doesn't change the current system date and time of the computer, but it only injects the date/time that you specify into the desired application.
RunAsDate works under 32 bit versions of Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, and Vista. It doesn't require any installation process or additional DLL files. In order to start using it, simply copy the executable file (RunAsDate.exe) to any folder you like, and run it.(source)
